Holiday Mail for Heroes
Thanks to the generosity of Americans this holiday season, the American Red Cross collected more than 1.4 million cares for service members, veterans and their families in the United States and abroad. While the opportunity to submit for 2008 has ended, be sure to check back with the Red Cross and Pitney Bowes in Fall 2009 for more information.

Every card received was first screened for hazardous materials by Pitney Bowes and then reviewed by Red Cross volunteers working in one of 17 sorting locations around the country.

In addition to sending cards, thousands of people also signed the Holiday Mail for Heroes Group Card. More than 3,700 signatures from thoughtful individuals all over the country symbolize heartfelt thanks to our service members, veteran's and their families.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2008 Holiday Mail for Heroes program
