| The continuing medical education (CME) programs for physicians offered through the Walter Reed Army Health Care System (WRHCS) is under the sponsorship of the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), and is required to meet the Essentials and Guidelines for Accreditation of Sponsors of CME and the Standards for Commercial Support of CME. |

| Expertise in subject matter qualifies selection of faculty for WRAMC CME events. Many faculty are in the DC area, local scholars from Uniformed Services University, National Institute of Health, National Naval Medical Center, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and WRAMC itself. Others may or may not be affiliated with the federal government and chosen for their renowned wealth of knowledge in a certain subject matter, thus enhancing the quality of the CME program at WRAMC. |
